“Hello, I have had some issues installing a program (Autodesk Revit). After researching the problem, the people from Autodesk suggested removing the Microsoft visual packages and reinstalling them. My question is what are the risks of removing these products? Also where can I find the 2008 packages and the 2005 packages? When I search for the reinstallations I can only find the 2010 and 2013 versions.”

Why Are So Many Microsoft Visual C+ Installed on MY PC?
